With deep reverence and gratitude to my Beloved.

Inspiration is a message-in-a-bottle from the distant shore,
a window into the other world,
a tap of the muse’s finger,
the grace of the gods.
It comes when you least expect it.

— PHIL COUSINEAU

Creating art is a form of meditation and spiritual dialogue for me. Science informs the artistic spirit and I like to question, explore and employ it as a muse to inspire wonder, and to capture the complexities and mysteries of the invisible. My purpose is to create reflective works of art that engage the soul; yours and mine. The intention is to celebrate, to share the joy of this glorious adventure, to inspire and be inspired.

Each painting takes me on a journey, and as my paintbrush and pen follows, each time I am lead back to my center. It is in the process of creation that I find my rhythm; all stands still as my inner teacher takes over. As I witness the evolving process I am left in awe. I feel a deep stirring, a potent blossoming of the creative energy which is all around us; not only in our own lives, but also in those of our family and community, and in the collective experience.

As in any art form, as we release judgment, silence our mind, breathe deep into the process, and find bliss in each step; we realize that we are boundlessly assisted in our authentic and heart-centered expression. We step out of the way. We realize that art is not born of us, but through us, and in this understanding we are humbled, yet profoundly empowered. Overtime I have come to understand that it is our divine duty to create and share inspiration. As we honor our own personal creativity, we contribute vitally to the whole. We inspire those around us to celebrate and we empower them to create.

“In your light I learn how to love

In your beauty, how to make poems

You dance inside my chest where no one sees you,

but sometimes I do,

and that sight becomes this art.”

— RUMI

I pray that my paintings be a mirror, a reflection of your light, your human essence, and your timeless divinity.

With Love and Gratitude,

Juss
